Benefit Gala Supporting
Hernando Children

The annual Benefit Gala for Hernando Children is a special event dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the Hernando community. This year, funds raised were used to purchase all the equipment and renovations needed for a STEM Lab at Hernando Intermediate School. A STEM lab is a hands-on learning space where students explore Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math through active projects, experiments, and challenges. This project goes far beyond a single classroom. It will be a school-wide resource that teachers can reserve and use with their students, giving all children access to immersive learning experiences.

Altogether, $19,315 was raised from the 2026 gala. We are so thankful for every sponsor and attendee as well as the amazing community that invests in the next generation!

2026 Gala

The first annual gala in March of 2025 was dedicated to raising funds for adaptive playground equipment now installed at Church Park. We are so grateful for a community that took part in this event and gave their time and resources to make this project happen. Together, we raised $20,347 which has given all kiddos, and especially those with special needs, a fun place to play in the heart of our city.

2025 Gala

The first annual gala in March of 2025 was dedicated to raising funds for adaptive playground equipment now installed at Church Park. We are so grateful for a community that took part in this event and gave their time and resources to make this project happen. Together, we raised $20,347 which has given all kiddos, and especially those with special needs, a fun place to play in the heart of our city.

    Book Vending Machine

    SPT was proud to support Oak Grove Central students by sponsoring books for their PBIS vending machine, rewarding positive behaviors with the gift of reading and learning.

    The Rising Stars Sports Program

    An afternoon of sports fun tailored for kids with special needs. Basketball, dodgeball, pickleball, boxing, and cornhole were offered while providing accommodations and support to ensure every child could enjoy and participate fully.

    Patient Fundraiser

    Our community and SPT team came together to support a local family in need following a car wreck. Nearly $3500 was raised to provide a down payment on a new car.

    Students now have a special spot to connect, share, and make new friends with four new “Buddy Benches” installed at Hernando Elementary School.
